The habitats on a grey fox is mainly rock dens in hollow logs and stumps. The habitats on red foxes are mainly dirt dens located in farm lands.

The diet on grey and red foxes are mice, voles, cottontail rabbits, birds, corn, apples, nuts, berries, grass, grasshoppers, and crickets.

The status on the grey fox is that their population is very small. The status on red foxes is that they are common or in other words, popular.

 

Distinguishing features.

Distinguishing features on the grey fox is one, they are medium sized. Also, grey foxes can climb trees but red foxes can’t. A distinguishing feature on a red fox is they get a little bit bigger than grey foxes.
